A New Era - History Unfolds

We are at the dawn of a new age; the world is now at our fingertips & with that comes knowledge and our ability to voice our opinions. No longer are we confined by physical or geographic barriers, but cyberspace has been embraced by the world for the simple fact that we, as individuals-who once thought we were alone or different, live in a global community. It is that innate, that natural "human instinct" or behavior to seek out others like ourselves. Society as whole, now is more aware and educated; as science advance we have true empirical data that shows the medicinal benefits of cannabis. This is only the first step, day by day, there is a a movement who come from all walks of life that have been touched and enlightened by the medicinal benefits of cannabis. It is the non-psychoactive parts of the plant that can treat and dare i say even cure diseases and disabilities that not so long ago would have defied the medical communitys' knowledge. Medical Marijuana, cannabis, works on the endocannabionoid system, as a doctor never was this taught in any medical schools; yet there have been numerous studies the show clearly that the endocannabionoid system directly correlates to our livelihood. Studies done in mice showed that, when specific cb1 receptors were knocked out ( meaning removed  from the brain of mice ), those mice began to die at a rapidly alarming rate compared to the placebo group who lived 3-4 times longer life spans.  We must continue to educate ourselves and others and support  each other for ultimately the greater good of our society to live a longer & healthier life.
